CENTERING PRAYER - Most Holy God: We rejoice in our awareness of your presence. Enter our lives, refreshing and renewing us through the touch of your Holy Spirit. Grant that we may live with love after the example of Jesus Christ, through whom we pray. Amen
CALL TO WORSHIP
Come, let us encounter anew the God who moves among us…the God who meets us in praise and song, in forgiveness and new beginnings, in scripture and sermon, in prayer and in offering, in Christian community and in going forth in love. We gather together to worship God.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
O God from whom all blessings flow: Lead us by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit to think those things which are right, and enable us by the power of your love to do them. We confess the ease with which we hurt one another; the ease with which we turn our backs on the hurt of the world. We confess that so often we seek our own security over the common good. Enable us to feel and know authentic care and compassion for one another. Enable us to be the community of your people, the Body of Christ in the world. Amen
