10:00 am Sunday Worship

ORDER OF WORSHIP

 CENTERING PRAYER

Almighty Father, source of all goodness, you gave your Son for the life of the world and sent your Spirit that your love might abide within us. Teach us how to love each other this day, that we may have life, and have it abundantly. We pray this with you, in Christ, and through the Holy Spirit. Amen.

CALL TO WORSHIP (From Psalm 29)

The LORD sits enthroned over the flood;

the LORD sits enthroned as king for ever.

May the LORD give strength to his people!

May the LORD bless his people with peace!

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Holy God, we know you are always there to lead us, yet somehow, we lose our way and fall back into fear. We confess we stumble often, and we recognize our need for you to lift us up. Forgive our failings, restore us to strength, and reconcile us with you, ourselves, and each other. We pray this in the name of our Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer.  (Silent Confession)

† AFFIRMATION OF FAITH

The Apostles’ Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of the saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
