Worship Prayers for June 18

 CENTERING PRAYER

God of wonder, you appeared to Abraham as three persons; you reveal your fullness in your Son Jesus Christ. Your Spirit fills your people with hope through the peacemaking cross of Jesus. Gather us as Christ’s faithful disciples and empower us with his good news, in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.

CALL TO WORSHIP

Friends in Christ, let us gather in the shelter of God’s presence.

Let us bless the Lord, for God has wondrously shown us steadfast love.

God is indeed our rock and our refuge.

God guides us and leads us

Into God’s hands we commit our spirits, for God has redeemed us.

Abundant is the goodness that the Lord has stored up for those who worship God!

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Holy Three-in-One, we confess we do not know how to look for you. We do not sense your nearness, nor are we aware of angels among us. We do not show hospitality to strangers as Abraham did to you. We do not trust that our hardships can be transformed by your Spirit. Covenant keeper, forgive us. Enable us to laugh with joy because your grace has made peace among us. Open us with your grace that we may extend gracious hospitality to others. (Silent Confession)

PRAYER OF DEDICATION

Holy One, we offer our gifts in gratitude for your ongoing love and abundance, for your promises always kept, for your hope in Jesus which brings us life. Use our offerings and our lives for your purposes in the world. In the name of Jesus our Savior. Amen.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE AND THE LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us
