Good Shepherd, you call us by name, and we know your voice. Open the gate for us, that we may come and go freely, have life, and have it abundantly. Amen.

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth.
Worship the LORD with gladness;
come into his presence with singing.
Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
We are God’s people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him, bless his name.
For the LORD is good;
his steadfast love endures for ever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Holy One, we confess we do not always follow Christ’s example. When others hurt us, we strike back in anger and hate. We wander from your Word and your way. Lead us back into your fold and guard our souls in Jesus’ name. (Silent Confession)
