Caregiver's Luncheon

Our Caregiver's Luncheon at St. Mark Presbyterian Church began with the Claymont Pre-school entertaining us with holiday songs.

This was followed by a talk by Karen Bono (with County Older Residence Program) on Eldercare.  She gave each of us a folder full of resources and a binder left with Sean Butler with additional information.  This was followed by a delicious lunch of salad, stew and cornbread.

For dessert, we got to decorate cookies and listen to Dick play some tunes on his harmonica.  This luncheon gives all of us who care for an elderly or ill parent, child or spouse to come together, share information, give each other support.  Although this is under the auspices of Deacons, Stephens' Ministers also attended for additional support.
