Go-getters Christmas Luncheon

 Jan and Sharon are the leaders this year of Go-getters, a group of senior women at St. Mark Presbyterian Church who go out to lunch once a month (beginning January---the 2nd Tuesday).  December is always held at the church with a White Elephant gift exchange in addition to food, fun and fellowship.

 Each of us went home with gifts and these favors:  a candy sleigh and a Prayer Rock:

Prayer Rock

Here's what it can do.

Put it on you pillow

Until the Day is through.

When you go into your room

And climb into bed,

Pow! Your helpful prayer rock

Will bump your tender head.

 Then you will remember

As quick as 1-2-3

You forgot to say your prayers.

You will say them, you see.

After you have prayed, just place

Your rock upon the floor.

Then when you get up the next day,

You'll feel that rock once more.  

And just that fast, you'll think

"Oh, yes" And say your morning prawer.

 And thank the Lord who love you

For always being there.
