In ancient times the Red Tent was a
safe and sacred space where women
gathered to experience,
share, celebrate
and mourn the rhythms of life of a
woman. Today, our Red Tent gathering is a safe and
sacred space for all who gather. Join us Thursday,
October 5, November 9, December 14, 10:00-11:00 am.
Lost for more than fifteen hundred years, the Gospel of
Mary is the only existing early Christian gospel written
in the name of a woman. The Gospel of Mary shows
her to be an important disciple to whom Jesus' male
disciples turn for advice and wisdom. Indeed, the
apostle Peter specifically asks Mary to interpret the
words of Jesus. The Gospel of Mary of Magdala offers
a fascinating glimpse into the conflicts and
controversies that shaped earliest Christianity.
