Hope

I'm looking for

a new communion,

not of remembrance,

but anticipation.

Given at a table

unladen of history,

to join unburdened

as a hungry child.

A child in need

of love and nurture,

but with a spirit

of curiosity as well.

 

Hoping to find,

in what is offered,

illumination of

an eternal truth.
