As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with gratitude for the continued growth and vitality of our community. This report highlights the achievements and milestones of our church family, celebrating the collective efforts that have made 2023 a year of profound impact.
Youth and Children's Ministries Under the dedicated leadership of Latisha Gilliland, our children's program has thrived, witnessing remarkable growth. The youth mission team's journey to Puerto Rico, last June, was a transformative experience, fostering a deeper connection with the divine in both the people they encountered and the places they visited. Our church family's involvement has expanded with individuals generously sponsoring meetings, fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment.
Adult Programming The Presbyterian Women's group remains vibrant, continually seeking innovative ways to minister to the women of St. Mark. The Friday hybrid Bible study group has grown to an average of 20-25 individuals, reflecting a hunger for God's truth and a desire for community.
Education and Youth Leadership on a Broader Scale Pastor MP, has not only played a vital role within our church but has also extended their influence beyond our community. Accepting the role at the presbytery level as Chairperson on the Administrative Commission to Dardenne PC, Pastor MP is continuing the call of ministry to the greater church.
Pastoral Growth and Education Pastor MP's participation in the Doctor of Ministry Program at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary came to an early end as the program’s trajectory proved not to be in line with the ministry goals she has at SMPC. The new focus is on CREDO, a ministry growth program offered through the Board of Pensions.
Looking Ahead to 2024 As we embark on the next leg of our journey together, we are filled with anticipation for what God has in store for us. Through each one of you, God continues to do great things, and we eagerly anticipate the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. Together, let us continue to seek out God's call on our lives and move forward with faith, hope, and love.
Peace and blessings, Pastor MP
