Youth Mission Trip to South Carolina

YOUTH MISSION TRIP June 3-10 we eight students, Katie, and Pastor Susan served in Charleston,
South Carolina working in the Low Country Food Bank, the National Park Services by painting the gates of Liberty Square, the entrance of Fort Sumter.

We also had difficult, but engaging conversations surrounding racism and its historical impact on how we love our neighbors. By paying our respects to the Mother Emanuel A.M.E Church as well as visiting a plantation with slave quarters, the students were able to grapple with some of the struggle still happening today.

We studied the Beatitudes as well as worshipped on Folly Beach with Communion. The youth will be presenting their trip on July 30-31 Worship services. There is much more to be shared, you will not want to miss it!!

A HUGE THANK YOU to all who participated, donated, and helped make our mission trip happen! It is truly a transformative experience for our students and on behalf of Pastor Susan and myself, we are so privileged to have the opportunity to see the transformation that happens over the weeklong trip! THANK YOU!!

STAY TUNED for students returning from Triennium. Nine of our youth will be attending the denominational youth event held only every three years! They too will be reporting on their experience on July 30-31 during Worship!
