A Lament for Clean Water

 Oh God, you created for us clean, plentiful water that would rain on our crops, cleanse and hydrate all living creatures.

Now, our water is polluted and many of our brothers and sisters throughout the world die from disease in the water that they drink.

We know that you are faithful to us and supply what we need but it is also our responsibility to protect what you have given us.

Please help those with power to use their resources and influence to help those lacking clean water.

Please hear our prayers as we strive to do what we, people of power are able to do to provide life sustaining clean water for those who lack it.
