Daughters of God: Sowing Seeds in the Garden of Joy

Pastor Susan opened our luncheon in prayer at St. Mark Presbyterian.
We remembered stories about one of our friends Do:  her class, her courage after a stroke, her determination to fix fudge for the holidays, her love of bridge, her friendship.

Then, we sang some hymns:  "Take a walk IN THE GARDEN with your FRIEND JESUS.  Feel his love and TELL THE STORY of his love to others, and truly know HOW GREAT THOU ART."

Heidi introduced our featured speaker, her mother Julie.  Julie began with a beautiful video of flowers blooming.  Click here.
Another video was about the Seven Wonders of the World by Jimmy Morrow.  Julie interspersed the videos with stories and scripture all with the focus of Joy.  Philippians 4 8-9
A video with Nichole Johnson spoke volumes to many of us:  The Invisible Woman.
Psalms 40 preceded the video "Let There Be Light" by Patsy Clairmont.  Thank you, Julie for your inspirational words and videos.
Lia, on the left, gave our closing prayer.  We had a wonderful time at the luncheon and even got a hint to next year's theme on Re-cycling. Many of the ladies on the Fellowship Committee, model their hats made of painted paper bags.
They introduced us to the theme a year early, so we will be able to purchase our outfit for next year---something purchased at our ABC sale, our church's rummage sale.  To see some of what we had last year at the ABC sale, click here.
