September is National Preparedness Month

Most of this information if not all has been written in a blog entry during the past year.  I feel it is necessary and always important to remind our congregation to continue their vigilance when it comes to their personal emergency preparedness.  FEMA and their Readiness Campaign has the tools necessary for each of you to stay safe.

Take action now and make a plan with your family and for your pets, not to mention your community and church.  Plan how to stay safe and communicate during a disaster.

Each week during September will focus on a particular disaster.

  • Week 1:  September 1-5th            Flood
  • Week 2:  September 6-12th          Wildfire
  • Week 3:  September 13-19th        Hurricane
  • Week 4:  September 20-26th        Power Outage
  • Week 5:  September 27-30th        Lead up to National PrepareAthon! Day (September 30th )
Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
