Christmas Shoebox Thanks and Update

Thanks to everyone who helped us collect and make items to pack 189 shoebox gifts for Operation Christmas Child last year! In December I had the privilege of volunteering at an OCC processing center in southern California and inspected thousands of boxes packed by churches and individuals. It was interesting to see how well (or not) some boxes were packed. I am glad to say that our boxes were filled with quality items and included all the basics as well as fun, WOW toys. I know the children in Mexico are enjoying them right now!

We'd like to share suggestions on what people could be collecting throughout 2016. Below is a list of monthly ideas. Items can be dropped off in the Narthex at the Children's Ministry table or in Ellen's office. Thank you again for helping with this outreach project! For more information, contact Julie Northrip.
