C.S. Lewis once wrote, "To love at all is to vulnerable." I believe vulnerability is one of the things that makes us truly human. God does not call us to be a rock or an island (Sorry, Paul Simon.) We are created in the Image of God, but we are built for community, and this requires both giving and receiving. If we are open to God, then we need to be open to each other!
