CENTERING PRAYER

The sun is up and so are we

All set to start the day

We're wide awake and ready now

Will You please show the way

You've kept us safe the whole night through

Please guide us all day long

Give us a smile for everyone

A word of cheer, a song

Is there a job for us to do

A special task, a test

With help from You we hope we too

Can make this day our best

Good morning sun, good morning sky

We greet you with a nod

This day will be our special day

A good good morning, God

CALL TO WORSHIP                                  (Isaiah 52)

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger who announces peace,

Who brings good news, who announces salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”

Listen! Your sentinels lift up their voices, together they sing for joy;

for in plain sight they see the return of the Lord to Zion.

Break forth together into singing, you ruins of Jerusalem;

for the Lord has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.

The Lord has bared his holy arm before the eyes of all the nations;

And all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

Come! Let us worship our beautiful Savior together!

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

God of mercy, your command to love one another across all differences opens us to new horizons, yet we often respond with fear and judgment and hinder your goal for humanity. Forgive our sins, we pray, and give us a true repentance that leads to life for all creation. Help us to see the beauty in you, in our neighbors, and in ourselves. We continue to pray in Jesus’ name. (Silent Confession)
