Flowers for Worship

Did you know the Deacons at St. Mark provide all of the beautiful fresh flowers at church with your help.  You may help in two ways---ordering a poinsettia for Christmas or ordering flowers for weekend worship.

  • St. Mark will continue our Christmas tradition of using poinsettia plants to beautify our sanctuary. Please order one (or more) to brighten your home. Consider ordering a plant to be delivered to a home-bound member as a tangible reminder of their spiritual connection to St. Mark. Order forms can be found by the Flower Chart on the easel in the pastors' office hallway. Place the order form, with your check in the “Flowers” mailbox in the church office by Sunday, December 14. Each plant is $6.00 and is sourced from a locally owned greenhouse. Any questions, please con-tact Joyce Blackwell. DID YOU KNOW that the shape of the poinsettia flower and leaves are sometimes thought to be a symbol of the Star of Bethlehem which led the Wise Men to Jesus? • Time to order flowers for 2015:  The Flower Chart for 2015 is on the easel near the food pantry table. If you would like to provide an arrangement for an upcoming worship service, please sign your name on the chart and fill out the flower donation form. Place the form, with your check in the “Flowers” mailbox in the church office. Each arrangement is $25. Please remember to indicate whether you will take home the flowers or if you would like them to be delivered to a homebound member. Donating flowers as a memorial or to commemorate or honor an event/milestone enhances our worship services. Those flowers that are delivered to homebound mem-bers provides cheer to those who could not attend worship. Any questions, call or email Joyce Blackwell.
