Holiday Fun

Last weekend, we had many opportunities for holiday fun.  First, we had our St. Mark Presbyterian House Tour which benefits Lydia's House (a shelter for abused families).  We toured 5 beautiful homes in the West County area:  Wildwood, Ballwin, Chesterfield, Town and Country, Manchester.  It is always fun to see the decorations and hear the family stories.

The Hostesses at one of the homes.

Sunday evening we had "Jingle Mingle" with each person bringing a dessert or appetizer which we ate in our beautifully decorated Narthex.  It was a great opportunity for church friends to socialize and get to know one another better.

But, we never forget the "Reason for the Season":  Christ's birth.  Below is one of our families leading us in the lighting of the Advent wreath.
Saturday Worship
Faithful God, your promises stand unshaken through all generations.  Renew us in hope, that we may be awake and alert watching for the glorious return of Jesus Christ, our judge and savior, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen
