Go-getters and Lydia's Bus
Recently, the Go-Getters took St. Mark Presbyterian's new bus to the Blue Owl for lunch. The bus was purchased thanks to the legacy or our dear friend Lydia who was an active member of this group. This bus has a lift for wheelchair accessibility as well as to assist those who may have difficult with the stairs. Additionally, the bus will be used for youth events (click here) and will even take individuals on the House Tour this year (for $5 extra)
The Go-getters are a lively group of women who meet once a month, ten times per year, for fun activities and fellowship. Their usual meeting day is the second Tuesday of the month. In warmer months, they enjoy outings to restaurants, historical sights and various local attractions. During the winter, they “stay in” at the church for lunch and fun activities such as watching movies, having parties and competing in trivia contests.
Our next event will be at the church. Our Christmas luncheon will be held on December 9, 11:30, at the church. Bring a friend and join us for Christmas fun, lunch, fellowship and a Christmas white elephant gift exchange. If you would like more information, please contact any of the coordinators: Sharon Tharp or Jan Graves, or the church office at (636) 394-2233. We’d love to have you join us!
Thank you Lydia---we miss you!
