#TBT: Christmas in 1980's Sanctuary

These photos from 1987 and 1988 show our sanctuary decorated for Christmas.  If it looks different from today's sanctuary and yet somehow familiar---this is currently our Narthex.
Above is the pulpit with the Chrismon tree which has been enlarged and enhanced.  These windows were removed and reused in another location.
The poinsettia tree and Advent wreath to the right of the pulpit is above and below shows the communion table

At that time, the bells were set up in front of the communion table (pictured are youth--K. Capatosta and L. Schaefer ?).  Below shows the area on the far right when facing the front.  This area, the sacristy, held communion supplies, candle stands, music stands.
If you have any old photos you would like to share, please put them in the Historian's mailbox with a note as to whether you want them returned or not.  The windows to the right of the door (not shown) remained in what is now the Narthex.
