"The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it, the world and those who live in it for he has founded it on the seas and established it on the rivers." Psalm 24: 1-2
Action Tuesday
Do you normally take time to thank God for our natural world, the environment in which we live, the living creatures around us, and the plants that nourish our atmosphere. Today, you might say "thank you" by making a donation to a charity that helps preserve and care for our planet earth, and its natural inhabitants. There are many nature conservation agencies and groups that help treat animals in a humane way. Send them something.
And then, if you are able, go for a walk and thank God for the life you see around you.
This is from the 2002 St. Mark Presbyterian Lenten Devotional. Write in the comments below a way you thanked God today for our beautiful world.
I am thankful that we have all of this beautiful snow that will seep into our soil and drain into our rivers. As inconvenient as it might be, it is God's way of refreshing our earth.
